On April 29th, Julie Nation Academy celebrated its 45th Anniversary with a spectacular Graduation & Awards Luncheon at the Finley Community Center in Santa Rosa.
The day started with a Red Carpet Event, where attendees had the option to be photographed by Celebrity Photographer Eddie Cotillon and/or interviewed by Comcast for our upcoming TV commercial. Photos by Eddie Cotillon can be viewed and downloaded here.
Students and graduates of Modeling, Acting, Singing, and Self-Improvement Programs were recognized on stage and acknowledged for their achievements in their classes and careers. Diplomas and awards were distributed to the 70 students and graduates present, who then took to the runway in a celebratory presentation walk.
Julie Nation graduate Lisa Wittke Schaffner opened the lunch as our keynote speaker. Lunch was served by Mara Carrillo's Culinary Department, and followed by entertainment from the Julie Nation Model & Talent Showcase Performances.
Agents and Casting Directors scouting for new talent at our Showcase were present for the Lunch presentations, along with VIP community members John Bribiescas (Schools Plus), Toni Abraham (Social Advocates for Youth), Anita Vandenberg (Santa Rosa Plaza), Damon & Nathan (Coolsville Creative), Barbi Whitbeck (Comcast), and Honorary Board Members Raquel Hockert, Tracy Carr, and Crystal Rangel for the non-profit Julie Nation Scholarship Foundation.
