Catwalk for a Cure 2017

Julie Nation Academy's Advanced Modeling Runway Troupe was honored to again perform the opening act for Sutter Health's 15th Annual Catwalk for a Cure benefit fundraiser and fashion show.

Troupe Director Christina Fullmer choreographed their routine, assisted by Gerardo Sanchez from Cali Kicks Martial Arts Academy in Santa Rosa. Fusing traditional runway modeling with dance, martial arts, and acrobatics, this exciting routine got the crowd pumped up and set the tone of the show. The theme this year was "Flock Cancer" with a South Miami feel.

Julie Nation parent Tonie Traina Berry helped with costume coordination, including implementing jewelry generously provided by Treska Inc. from Fort Worth, Texas, and unique custom headpieces made by both Tonie and Humboldt County Artist Joe Rial.

Special thanks to the parents and volunteers who helped behind the scenes! Because of you, this show was a success!
